Utilizing ACERT Technology as a foundation, Caterpillar added next generation turbo charging, advanced electronics, advanced fuel systems, particulate aftertreatment systems and a suite of NOx reduction technologies to provide tailored emissions solutions to industrial engine Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) customers. Through years of proven results with ACERT Technology, Caterpillar has provided the broadest range of emissions technology solutions in the industry with a full range of fuel system, engine system, aftertreatment, machine system design and integration capabilities.

These new engine platforms have been developed by the world’s largest equipment maker and benefit from the Caterpillar legacy of deep engine and OEM machine integration experience. Caterpillar has chosen integrated technologies that maximize customer value across the engine line and has designed these new industrial engines to satisfy specific customer needs.

Caterpillar c7.1 and c9.3 ACERT enginesIn order to maximize the value of Tier 4 Interim/Stage IIIB ACERT engines, Cat has been conducting Tier 4 integration workshops with OEMs.  The collaboration process provides great benefits for OEM partners including detailed packaging and installation data as well as direct interaction with Cat dealer and factory technical experts. These collaborative efforts are integral to the Cat New Product Introduction (NPI) process for obtaining voice of the customer requirements very early in the product design and development stage which helps minimize the design time for new product installations.

As with all Cat Tier 4 Interim/Stage IIIB compliant engines, these engine platforms utilize the full complement of ACERT Technologies to achieve a significant 90% reduction of Particulate Matter (PM) and a 45% reduction of Oxides of Nitrogen (NOx).

Backed by the most extensive dealer network in the world, the new engines provide customers with the best choice for their most demanding industrial applications.

Cat industrial engines provide reliable power for original equipment manufacturer’s applications that are produced and operated around the globe.
